3. Menyatakan Perintah

Rumus:

If + S + Present tense + Imperative form (kalimat perintah).
Imperative form + If + S + Present tense.

Contoh Kalimat

If you arrive at home, please inform me.
= Jika kamu sampai di rumah, tolong hubungi saya.
If you go to the office, please reprint this script.
= Jika kamu ke kantor, tolong cetak ulang naskah ini.

Conditional Sentence Type 2

Type 2 disebut improbable atau unreal condition yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu hal yang kemungkinan terjadinya kecil sekali, atau hanya mengandaikan bahwa hal tersebut akan terjadi di masa depan atau masa kini.

Rumus: 

If + Subject + Past Tense/were (syarat), + Subject + Past Future / would, could, might (hasil).
Subject + Past Future / would, could, might (hasil) + If + Subject + Past Tense/were (syarat).

Contoh Kalimat:

If it were not raining, he should pick you up.
= Jika tidak hujan, dia harusnya menjemputmu. (Subject “it” harus dipasangkan were, bukan “is” atau “was”)
If Arya didn’t pass the exam, he would have to repeat the year.
= Jika Arya tidak lulus ujian, dia harus mengulang tahun ini.
