Rumus: Subject + To be + Not + Complement

To be ‘was’ akan digunakan jika subjeknya adalah ‘I’, ‘he’, ‘she’, ‘it’, atau nama orang tunggal. Sedangkan to be ‘were’ dipakai saat subjeknya berupa kata ganti ‘they’, ‘we’, atau nama orang jamak.
